Abstract: In this talk it will be shown the first results in using deep learning techniques for classification of agricultural scenarios. In particular, the research is focused on detecting and characterizing Hass avocados and the tasks that the field worker does in the grove, with the aim of implementing Human-Robotic Interfaces to enhance the production process.
Dr. Fernando Auat Cheein is Associate Professor and Head of the Computer Division of the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaiso, Chile, and Principal Investigator of the Advanced Center of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His main research interests include: agricultural robotics, SLAM and mechatronic systems.
