In the framework of the Sant Miquel Agricultural Fair, Jaume Arnó, member of the AgroICT and Precision Agriculture Research Group of Agrotecnio and the University of Lleida, presents today the National Association of Precision Agriculture (ANAP, by its Spanish acronym) in Lleida. ANAP is an independent, non-profit Spanish organisation that was created with the aim of promoting precision agriculture and facilitating the digital transformation of agriculture in Spain, in line with the sustainability guidelines defined by the European Union.
This association, which was presented internationally in Bologna in July, is made up of a network of professionals, researchers and companies in the agricultural sector and has already begun to work collaboratively to promote the adoption and optimisation of precision technologies in Spanish agriculture.
The ANAP analyses and debates on advanced crop management tools, on the integration of scientific-technical, technological and methodological advances in agronomy, as well as on new solutions for crop management (irrigation, fertilisation, application of phytosanitary products, etc.). The activities they plan to carry out are listed on their website, which also offers the possibility of becoming a member, here.
