Research
My research focuses on the application of genomics to unravel the genetic control of biological processes and to drive livestock breeding for the production of value-added products. In particular, my current research aims at developing strategies based on whole-genome data for breeding pigs with enhanced organoleptic and nutritional meat quality.
– Genetic evaluations and estimation of genetic parameters.
– Genomics: GWAS, genomic prediction. Bioinformatics.
– Strategies for implementing whole-genome sequencing into breeding programs.
