Her research focuses on the development, optimisation and validation of analytical methods using advanced analytical techniques, such as ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) for the determination of bioactive compounds of plant origin in food and biological matrices. They also work on the design and validation of sample treatment, which is key to efficient extraction and minimisation of interference, with the aim of evaluating bioavailability, describing the metabolism of these bioactive compounds and understanding their biokinetic behaviour in the human body.
