The area of research is Precision Agriculture and the use of sensors and automation in agriculture in general. Specifically, the lines of research focus on 3D canopy characterisation using LiDAR detection systems, the delimitation of management areas, variable rate technologies, precision crop protection, and the detection and quantification of spatial variability in fruit growing and arable crops.
