Research lines

  1. Food processing and its impact on mycotoxins.
  2. Predictive mycology
  3. Application of near-infrared (NIR) hyperspectral image analysis for the detection of contaminated raw materials.
  4. Efficacy studies of mycotoxin adsorbents for animal feed.
  5. Exposure of different population groups to mycotoxins.

Main activities

  1. Isolation and characterisation of moulds present in food and feed.
  2. Determination of mycotoxins and metabolites.
  3. Fungal ecophysiology studies.
  4. Antifungal efficacy studies.
  5. Studies on the efficacy of mycotoxin adsorbents.
  6. In vitro bioavailability studies.
