
RITACI
What is it?
RITACI is an Ibero-American network for scientific and technological cooperation that promotes research, innovation and knowledge transfer in climate-smart agriculture.
The project brings together universities, research centres and institutions across Ibero-America to develop sustainable solutions to the challenges posed by climate change in the agri-food sector.
The network works on the application of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, smart sensors and digital tools to improve agricultural production, reduce emissions and optimice the use of natural resources.
Objectives
To promote the use of emerging technologies to adapt agriculture to the effects of climate change.
To encourage more sustainable, efficient and resilient agricultural systems.
To reduce environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions.
To promote the exchange of scientific and technological knowledge between Ibero-American countries.
To encourage technology transfer and cooperation between universities, research centres and the productive sector.
Who carries it out?
The project is led by Manuel Cardona of Don Bosco University, El Salvador.
