Agrigenomics Dictionary

What is it?

AgriGenCat: Agrigenomics Dictionary is a project aimed at creating an online terminology dictionary specialising in agrigenomics.

This resource will compile, define and standardise around 200 key terms from this scientific field, with equivalents in Catalan, Spanish and English.

The project aims to facilitate the use of Catalan in scientific research and communication, as well as making this terminology accessible to both professionals and the general public.

Objectives

To promote the use of Catalan in scientific research, particularly in the field of agrogenomics.

To create a specialised online dictionary containing up-to-date and standardised terminology

To compile existing terms and generate new terminology that is not currently included.

To facilitate the dissemination of scientific knowledge and the transfer of knowledge to society.

To provide a useful tool for researchers, managers, translators, journalists and other professionals.

Who carries it out?

The project is coordinated by the Centre for Agrigenomics Research (CRAG) and involves the participation of Agrotecnio.

It is also being carried out in collaboration with TERMCAT, the Terminology Centre, which is providing expertise in terminological standardisation and the publication of the online dictionary.
