I am trained as an agronomist and environmentalist, and I hold a Master’s degree in organic farming, as well as a PhD in agricultural and food science and technology. My research focuses on designing nutritional and management strategies to improve the sustainability and quality of animal products, particularly in organic systems. I study how diet and production practices influence growth, animal welfare and the technological and nutritional properties of meat. My current research emphasises the use of local ingredients and natural additives. My work aims to generate knowledge that can be applied to produce high-value foods with reduced environmental impact.
