Sòl-Saver. Develop knowledge about living soil agriculture through citizen science to generate social and environmental impact.
What is it?
Sòl-Saver is a knowledge transfer project that aims to promote the adoption of living soil agriculture in arable crops in Catalonia. It is based on citizen science, practical training and participatory dissemination to help farmers apply regenerative practices that improve soil quality, climate resilience and the sustainability of the sector.
Objectives
- Promote living soil agriculture as a tool to regenerate degraded soils and combat climate change.
- Collect data through citizen science (soil samples and surveys) with the active participation of farmers.
- Transfer knowledge about the benefits of regenerative practices through workshops, reports, and digital outreach.
- Improve farmers’ decision-making through accessible and useful scientific data.
- Promote gender equality, inclusion, and environmental sustainability.
