Marta J. Muñoz Gómez
Dr. Marta Muñoz Gómez is a specialist in Agri-Food Law with a strong focus on the ecological transition of food systems. She earned her PhD in 2024 with a dissertation on the proximity principle, exploring how local food systems can serve as legal and regulatory tools to foster more sustainable agrifood models.
From 2023 to 2025 she served as Assistant Professor at AgroParisTech (Université Paris Saclay) and researcher at the Institut de Recherche Juridique de la Sorbonne (Paris 1). Her current research at Agrotecnio examines how European Food Law can adapt to contemporary challenges. She explores the regulation of emerging technologies – particularly the evolving framework for novel foods and the implications of innovation for consumer protection and sustainability-. She also works within a One Health perspective, analysing the interconnections between environmental health and agrifood safety. Finally, she studies the protection of the right to nutritious food in situations of administrative inaction, with special attention to the collective dimension of legal standing before the Court of Justice.
