Anna García Companys
My research at Agrotecnio focuses on corporate law and cooperative law in the agri-food sector, as well as the legal framework of economy entities. I am particularly interested in family businesses and generational succession, along with issues related to sustainability, industrial property, and competition law. My work covers areas such as the implementation of the food supply chain law and cooperative governance. I am a member of the MODHER project on the modernization of inheritance law and part of the SOIUS research group on sustainable society and law. I also participate in the SEGUIA project, which examines the use of artificial intelligence in insurance distribution, with a focus on transparency, governance, and supervision. I worked as a lawyer at the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Catalonia (FCAC) where I gained first-hand insight into the reality of the agriculture sector. In addition, I coordinate the case law section on the financial sector for the CIRIEC-Spain Journal of Social and Cooperative Economy Law.
