My entire scientific career has been related to animal nutrition. I have acquired extensive experience in scientific research (in vivo and in vitro) conducted on ruminants and monogastric animals (nutrition and production). Part of my experience includes the use of molecular techniques to study the intestinal microbial population, using LC-MS/MS for data analysis and untargeted metabolomics, and external/internal markers to study nutrient digestibility, isotopic enrichment to study the rate of fractional protein synthesis in tissues, and the use of gas chambers to study greenhouse gas emissions. My career also includes the private sector, as I have actively collaborated with private companies in the design and implementation of studies on pharmaceutical and nutritional products for use in farm animals.
